Tooling and Facilities General Operative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Tooling and Facilities General Operative to support daily operations within our workshop. This role involves a combination of tooling support, materials handling, general maintenance and cleanliness of the tooling/facility areas.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-conscious and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Tooling Duties:

• Cut raw materials accurately using a table saw according to production needs.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of tooling materials.
• Handle deliveries and collections of materials and supplies as required.

Facility Duties:

• Empty swarf bins regularly to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Refill coolant in machines and replace coolant barrels as necessary.
• Carry out general cleaning and upkeep of the tooling area.
• Empty general waste bins and maintain skips on site

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a table saw and other basic tools.
• Forklift or manual handling certification.
• Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
• Physically fit and comfortable performing manual tasks.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
