Job Summary

The Junior Quality Inspector will assess and maintain the quality of production operations and finished parts.

Duties

  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure the quality of finished products.
  • Determine and use appropriate inspection processes to confirm assigned products and parts meet specifications.
  • Confirm and approve quality of finished parts.
  • Provide feedback to machinist in terms of any quality issues
  • Document measured results of inspection operations.
  • Prepare paperwork and reports documenting inspection findings.
  • Complete customer paperwork such as CoC’s and FAI’s
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Operating Vision systems and CMM’s

Skills

  • Knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques and equipment.
  • Knowledge of machining and machining processes.
  • Ability to read dimensional drawings.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word or similar software to prepare reports.

Education & Experience

  • Leaving certificate equivalent required, some quality related courses preferred.
  • Two years of experience as a quality control inspector preferred.
