Your Role

The General Operative supports long-running, high-volume CNC production lines by ensuring product conformity through consistent visual and dimensional inspection, effective cleaning of machined components, and the upkeep of production cleanliness and flow. This role is critical to maintaining part quality, cleanliness standards, and uninterrupted output in a lean, process-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support

  • Monitor and support the running of CNC machines producing identical components over extended period
  • Load and unload parts from machines with minimal changeover complexity
  • Handle and transfer components carefully to avoid contamination or damage

Inspection & Quality Control

  • Conduct 100% visual inspection of finished parts for surface defects, burrs, or cosmetic non-conformities
  • Perform dimensional checks using basic metrology tools (e.g. callipers, gauges, Go/No-Go fixtures) as per inspection plans
  • Record results in production documentation or quality records accurately
  • Flag any non-conformances immediately to relevant personnel

Post-Machining Cleaning

  • Clean machined components using ultrasonic washers, manual degreasing, compressed air, and wiping methods
  • Ensure all parts are dry, burr-free, and meet internal and customer cleanliness standards before moving to the next process

Requirements for The Role

Essential

  • 1+ year experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production role
  • Strong visual acuity and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with using measuring tools like callipers, height gauges, or visual comparators
  • Ability to work on repetitive tasks with a high degree of focus and consistency
  • Dependable, punctual, and process-oriented

Desirable

  • Previous experience in medical device or aerospace component manufacturing
  • Experience with visual inspection under magnification or lighting systems
  • Experience in cleaning processes involving ultrasonic tanks or alcohol wipes
