Becoming a qualified toolmaker will give you the skills you need to programme, set & run CNC machines to make parts out of a wide range of materials.

Our Toolmaker Apprenticeship offers candidates the opportunity to join a skilled team which provides a complete range of manufacturing solutions across multiple industries such as MedTech, Aerospace and Automotive.

The successful applicants will receive training in a broad range of Toolmaking disciplines such as Milling, Lathe, Grinding and CAD/CAM Programming. Dawnlough offer a comprehensive training plan for each apprentice which will allow them to gain the necessary skills to become a qualified Toolmaker.

Duties

  • Learn to operate manual milling and lathe machines
  • Use of a range of hand/power tools and measuring equipment
  • Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensions and tolerances
  • Program CNC Machines to produce precision components from design drawings
  • Adhere to safety procedures and operations

Schedule

Day Shift; Monday to Friday

Applicant must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before commencement of employment (preferred)
