Job Summary:
The Quality Machine Parts Inspector will assess and maintain the quality of production operations and finished parts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conducts visual and dimensional inspection to ensure quality of finished products.
- Determines and uses appropriate inspection processes to confirm assigned products and parts meet specifications.
- Confirms and approves quality of finished parts.
- Provide feedback to machinist in terms of any quality issues
- Documents measured results of inspection operations.
- Prepares paperwork and reports documenting inspection findings.
- Complete customer paperwork such as CoC’s and FAI’s
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Operating Vision systems and CMM’s
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques and equipment.
- Knowledge of machining and machining processes.
- Ability to read dimensional drawings.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word or similar software to prepare reports.
Education and Experience:
Junior Quality Inspector
- Leaving certificate equivalent required, some quality related courses preferred.
- Two years of experience as a quality control inspector preferred.
Senior Quality Inspector
- Qualification in Quality
- Minimum four years of experience as a quality control inspector preferred.
