Beginning as a small tooling company in 1987, Dawnlough supplied precision parts to the general engineering industry all along the west coast of Ireland.

Over the last 30 years the company has steadily evolved and grown to become a major supplier to some of the leading Aerospace and Medical Device companies around the world.

In early 2009 Dawnlough branched out from solely manufacture work and created our own in-house Design Department. The ability to take customers’ projects from the concept stage through to fully functioning products without having to leave the factory lead to the expansion of this department from one engineer in 2009, to six full time Design Engineers working on bespoke customer designs.

By the end of 2011 Dawnlough had achieved Approved Vendor status with BE Aerospace and was manufacturing and supplying Class 1 flight critical components to Bombardier Aerospace. In the years since we have expanded on this and now count several of Europe’s largest aerospace companies among our satisfied customers.

In 2014, Dawnlough relocated to a new 20,000sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility. This new site allowed us to increase our manufacturing capabilities to meet the demands of our ever-growing customer base. During this period, we focused on becoming a world leader in robotic lights out machining of hard metal.

This significantly increased our capabilities in terms of technology and skill base and has led to the rapid growth of the company. Due to this growth, within three years of moving into this facility the company continued growth led to the need to build a new state of the art adjacent factory. With construction finished we moved into our new offices in December 2018. This new two-story expansion increased the overall factory footprint to approximately 50,000 sq. ft.

Over the past 30 years Dawnlough has strived for perfection while also looking for ways to constantly improve both our methodologies and capabilities. This has been demonstrated by our list of accolades (ISO9001:2015, ISO13485:2016, AS9100D)
